Q1 Who is eligible to enroll?
 
A1 The Insured must be a Singapore Resident of at least eighteen (18) years to sixty five (65) years of age on the commencement date of the Period of Insurance.

Q2 What does ACE Home Guard Enhanced cover?
A2 ACE Home Guard is designed to cover major perils such as fire, storm, impact damage, malicious damage and theft. The following is a brief summary of what ACE Home Guard provides:
  • Up to $500,000 for Public Liability
  • Up to $200,000 cover for Home Renovations, Fixtures and Fittings
  • Up to $1,000 for loss of money involving forcible entry to your home
  • Up to $20,000 for Alternative Accommodation Expense when the principal place of residence becomes uninhabitable following loss or damage. We will pay up to 6 months or the period it takes to make the premises inhabitable.
  • 24 – Hour Worldwide Personal Accident coverage and Accidental Medical Reimbursement.

Q3 Can my spouse and I purchase 2 policies under ACE Home Guard Enhanced?   
 
A3 No. Each household can only have one (1) Home Content insurance.

Q4 What is the definition of Household Contents?
 
A4 Household Contents include your renovated items, fixtures & fittings installed by you, household furniture & furnishing, domestic appliances, audio equipment, computer equipment, photographic equipment, wearing & apparels, blanket & linen, sports & musical instruments, personal valuables personal effects.

A5 The cover commences on the date that you enroll online and the payment transaction is successfully accepted.

Q6 If I am traveling abroad, does the Personal Accident cover my family and me?
 
A6 Yes, the Personal Accident Cover and Accident Medical Reimbursement will cover you and your family (unlimited number of children) anytime, anywhere, worldwide.

Q7 Due to my negligence, I accidentally caused a fire due to unattended cooking. Will I be liable for my neighbour’s damages?
 
A7 Yes, you are liable to pay for a third party’s property damages or bodily injury if you are negligent. Our Personal Liability provides a maximum coverage of up to $500,000 depending on which plan you are covered under.

A8 Yes, in this scenario you are the child and you can buy this plan for your parents’ house (as a policy payer).

A9 Upon the insured incident happening, you can call the Customer Service Officer at 6398 8797 and the ACE Customer Service Officer will be able to assist you.
